From the 1st January 2010 you will be responsible for the cost of collection and recovery of waste batteries in the UK. If you have batteries made on your behalf and placed on the UK market in your name, then again, you are considered the Producer. BatteryBack is a unique service, open to all producers, ensuring costs are kept to a minimum. Currently, BatteryBack expect the cost to not exceed one pence per battery. This cost will not apply until the Regulations are in force.
