Schools, colleges and public buildings

Britain has to increase battery recycling from the current level of 2.8% to over 25% by 2012 and over 45% by 2016. With a need to recycle an additional 200 million batteries per year within just 3 years we need to help the public by providing easily accessible collection points throughout the country. BatteryBack is committed to provide over 80,000 FREE collection points. Many of these points will be in schools, colleges, libraries and other public buildings. Until the law takes effect, BatteryBack is financing the cost of treatment and recovery. If you would like to assist, by providing collection points in your premises please click here to order your BatteryCans.

If you are an existing WasteCare, WeeeCare or PackCare customer collection will also be made free of charge. If you are not already a customer and you have no other waste to collect, then your only cost will be a fixed collection fee of £60 regardless, of the quantity of batteries you have to collect.
